WHAT IS INTEGRITY?

Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions.

This video is about where the township approves a waiver for the fireworks permit fee. It is not about the activity, but about the Chairpersons evasive actions.

Berks Hometown Heroes was granted the waiver to display fireworks at the Exeter Township High School Homecoming football game. The fireworks would be shot off after every touchdown our team scored and then a short fireworks display after the game. Fun stuff, but it is not the whole story.

You will see Mr. Cusatis begin the discussion on the event and the Hometown Heroes plans. What he doesn't tell you is that he is the President and owner of the PRIVATE FOUNDATION called Berks Hometown Heroes. By itself, so far nothing to understand. Until you realize he is the Chairperson and supervisor of the Exeter Township Board of Directors. He should have revealed this information in this meeting to the public and explained his conflict of interest in this matter. He did not do so. In fact you must listen carefully near the end of this clip where he quickly recuses himself from the vote. I am told all the supervisors knew of the conflict, but never raised the issue of transparency to the public. IF he had revealed the information to the public and recused himself from discussion and voting, would the vote be different? I don't think so, it would have been passed by the other 4 supervisors as it should have been. But, here we can see the lack of integrity from this individual (in my opinion), and I wanted to show the manipulative nature of the current leader of this community.
