"The more you tell lies about me, the more we'll tell the truth about you."
This issue has been open for many months and the Board has not been able to resolve an issue that has been debated in a thousand communities across our state and across our country. Is it because we have an expensive manager that is often unavailable? Our supervisors have known of this issue for quite sometime but have not educated themselves concerning the problem as evidenced by Mr. Anderton's questions.
Listen to the dirt bike video I have posted below my opinion and clip of the discussion at the Oct. 14, 2019 meeting. Ask yourself, would you want these two bikes riding up and down 50ft (16 yards) from your windows? A simple ordinance would solve this issue. My preference is to keep them at least 600 yards from any residence. I believe that we all have the right to "Quiet Enjoyment" of our homes. Now, the family with the two boys that love riding these bikes, as you will see, seem to suggest that this noise is no different from the weed wackers, lawn mowers, ATV's and farm tractors. In my opinion I consider this complete nonsense. Who operates a weed wacker, and lawn mowers every day back and forth next to your window ? Tractors? They usually are way out in the field doing farm work, not running up and down next to your neighbors window ? Common sense here shows us what is needed to fix this issue. Our supervisors appear to be too busy with attacking private citizens, mismanagement of our tax dollars and selling off our assets to focus on one of the main purposes of their existence in our community. Instead, the plan to spend $15,000 of taxpayer money to record the noise decibels of the bikes. I consider this a complete waste of our money. The supervisors and our township manager, (The Lone Granger) need to wake pop and use common sense. (In my opinion of course)
