"The more you tell lies about me, the more we'll tell the truth about you."
Please note a few misspoke's by me when I said Covid 16, obviously I meant Covid 19, and when I said $40,000 in the bank I meant our $40 million or less from the Sewer Proceeds. CLICK ON "READ MORE" Our board of supervisors and our finance director in my opinion do not take the budget process seriously. At least last year with John Cusatis as Chairpersona of the Board, these meeting were not video taped and no minutes were kept last year. Obviously, this year minutes are/must be kept and the meeting was videoed. I do have last years meetings because I di record them. Last year Mr. Speece declared to me that the numbers do not mean anything, he said we can change them anytime. WRONG!! A legally binding budget (when moved and adopted by the Board) is one of the control characteristics for state and local Government. If the boys club does not understand this ask your auditor. Its tested on the CPA Exam. Currently, the major item we lack in Exeter is ACCOUNTABILITY , and accountability is the essence of governmental reporting. Accountability requires that a government body justify how it spends the resources it collects in pursuit of the goals the citizens have set for it. What do we have today, a busted budget, no end in sight for spending and most of all we have no audited financial statements for the last year. In conclusion we have a board of supervisor's who are negligent and incompetent. We, the taxpayers will pay the price. More to come!! BOARD OF SUPERVISORS SPECIAL BUDGET MEETING
